STPSO Deputy Arrested for Internet Crimes Against Children
BATON ROUGE, LA – Attorney General Jeff Landry today announced the
arrest of Brett Bahm, a process server with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s
Office, on multiple charges related to child exploitation.
“My Cyber Crime Unit and I are committed to investigating and arresting those who exploit our children, no matter their professions or positions,” said General Landry. “All Louisiana citizens are expected to follow and honor our laws and should know that if and when they do not, there will be consequences.”
Brett Bahm, 44 of Covington, has been arrested and charged with Attempted Production of Pornography Involving Juveniles, Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor, and Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile. He was arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail following an investigation by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Unit, Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation Internet Crimes against Children Task Force, and the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office.
“We appreciate the cooperation by Sheriff Randy Smith and the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office in this arrest,” added General Landry. “Working with our law enforcement partners, we will make Louisiana a safer place for children and families.”
