BATON ROUGE, LA - Tomorrow marks the 49th anniversary of Roe v Wade, the dreadful Supreme Court decision that
legalized abortion in the United States of America. Louisiana Attorney General
Jeff Landry today released the following statement on that horrible case of
judicial activism, its horrific impact on our nation, and his steadfast
commitment to overturn it:
“49 years ago, judicial activists on the Supreme Court
ignored the Constitution and set in motion the murder of tens of millions of
babies to abortion. I pray for the souls lost and the healing of their mothers.
As the chief legal officer for the most pro-life state in the country, I will
continue to defend our laws that ensure the health and safety of women and
girls from incompetent abortion providers who put profits over patients. I will
also continue to pray that this Supreme Court will rule in our favor in Dobbs v. Jackson - returning decisions about abortion policymaking to the states.”
