AG Jeff Landry Encourages Public
to Report Fraud and Abuse
BATON ROUGE, LA - Attorney General Jeff Landry today
announced the arrest of a Baton Rouge woman accused of committing battery against
her Medicaid patient, and he encouraged the public to report similar
allegations of abuse to his Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU).
“It is always disturbing to hear of Medicaid recipients
allegedly being harmed by employees whose job is to care for them,” said
General Landry. “As my office and I continue to fight Medicaid welfare fraud,
we encourage the public to report abuse and neglect in residential care
facilities.”
Flora Williams, 53
of Baton Rouge, was arrested on one count of
Simple Battery of Persons with Infirmities for allegedly kicking a disabled
patient multiple times. Williams was investigated and arrested by General
Landry’s MFCU and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
If you have information or evidence of Medicaid welfare
fraud, abuse, and/or neglect in residential care facilities – report it to
