General Landry: With the Governor’s expansion of Medicaid welfare, we recognize the need for even greater detection and prevention of taxpayer-funded Medicaid welfare fraud.

General Landry: I hope Secretary Price will broaden our authority and add these new tools in our arsenal against fraud, waste, and abuse in Louisiana.

General Landry: It is frustrating to me and my staff that people defraud programs created to help our State’s most vulnerable; and we will continue to fight against this type of criminal activity.

General Landry: My office will not rest in our pursuit of those who rob much needed services from our State’s most vulnerable.

General Landry: This scheme was not just illegal, but it was also extremely dangerous. Instead of service workers learning necessary skills, they were fraudulently getting certifications without any training – greatly jeopardizing the health and safety of patients.
