AG Jeff Landry: Hard-working taxpayers in Louisiana should not have their tax money taken to fund those who wish to cross our border in search of free benefits.

General Landry: I will continue to work with public and private partners in doing all we legally can to prevent robo callers from interrupting Louisiana families and businesses.

General Landry: My MFCU investigators and prosecutors work tirelessly to protect services for those in need and the taxpayers who pay for this welfare; today is a great example of their fine efforts on behalf of our State.

General Landry: This week’s court decision is a great victory for Louisiana’s farmers, landowners, job creators, and taxpayers.

General Landry: Alvogen is responsible for dispensing prescription opioids like candy while profiting off the epidemic their carelessness has created; an epidemic currently crippling our communities and killing thousands of our citizens. I am appalled by Alvogen and their false moral high ground.

General Landry: This week’s takedown further intensifies our commitment to find, arrest, and prosecute Medicaid welfare fraudsters and those proliferating Louisiana’s opioid epidemic.

General Landry: As my office and I continue to fight Medicaid welfare fraud, we encourage the public to report abuse and neglect in residential care facilities.

General Landry: This legislation by Senator Mills and this generous donation from Mallinkrodt will surely assist Louisiana's dedicated hospice workers dispose of unused opioids. I am grateful for this important work by the Legislature and this valuable public-private partnership.

General Landry: With summer quickly approaching, children will be around the house more; so I encourage everyone to take advantage of this resource now.

General Landry: For the safety of our children and families, I encourage all Louisianans to do some spring cleaning and drop off their leftover prescriptions drugs.

General Landry: Welfare fraud not only jeopardizes resources from our most needy but it also steals from our taxpayers. From provider fraud to recipient fraud, all Medicaid fraud is wrong; and I will continue to do all that I legally can to stop it.

General Landry: We commend this bipartisan Resolution that will assist us in ramping up our efforts to protect Louisiana citizens.

General Landry: Both the opioid epidemic and crime epidemic are plaguing our State; and my office is committed to fighting them both aggressively.

General Landry: We once again encourage anyone who may know of people using the Medicaid program to illegally take money, services, or drugs to report it to our office.

General Landry: I thank the Governor for putting his faith in our office’s leadership on this issue. We will work hard to hold drug companies accountable for contributing to the opioid abuse, misuse, and addiction that have destroyed so many Louisiana families.

General Landry: If you know of people using the Medicaid program to take money, services, or drugs to which they are not entitled – please report it to our office.

General Landry: Whether it is those who acquire unneeded prescription drugs, falsely bill, or lie to gain eligibility; all Medicaid welfare fraud is wrong; and my office will do all we legally can to stop it.

Chief Deputy Stiles: Judge Polster's interest in resolving this issue globally is commendable. The opioid epidemic is a complex issue that Attorney General Jeff Landry has attacked from multiple fronts and will continue to do so moving forward.

General Landry: I am thankful for the Sheriffs in Acadiana helping us to get unnecessary drugs out of medicine cabinets and away from those who may misuse them.

General Landry: The opioid epidemic knows no bounds; it affects all regions, economic classes, ages, and demographics. So I am grateful to have partners like Sheriffs Hilton and McCain in our fight against this devastating and deadly problem.
