Even before securing his candidacy, Joe Biden unequivocally declared war on American energy. He promised there would be no new drilling on federal lands, and he wasted no time in exceeding that threatening campaign promise. Within days of taking the oath of office, Biden used his pen to halt federal lease-sales and obstruct permitting authority. He cancelled the Keystone XL pipeline over the express direction of Congress. And Biden has taken other destructive steps by reviving with vengeance failed Obama-era schemes designed to kill American energy.

For Louisiana and her people, I am matching Biden’s egregious violations of the rule of law with an even greater force in support of the Constitution.

• I am leading a 13-state coalition to stop the Biden Ban on American Energy. We achieved a nationwide injunction against Biden’s ban on oil and gas leases on federal lands and forced Biden into conducting Lease Sale 257. Biden has since doubled-down on his moratorium, and I am fighting back even harder.
• I am leading a 10-state coalition to halt Biden’s job-killing Social Cost of Carbon, voodoo economics that jeopardize nearly every aspect of our economy and culture in Louisiana.  While the Supreme Court did not pause the Biden metrics as the case works its way through the judicial system, we are confident that we will be successful in blocking SCC after the matter is heard on its merits.
• I led a 25-state coalition opposing Biden’s proposal to ban the transport of liquefied natural gas by rail car in the United States.
• I led a 22-state coalition combating Biden’s unlawful attempt to regulate GHG emissions as part of its pipeline certification process and licensing of new interstate LNG Terminals.
• I sued the Biden Administration for its illegitimate cancelation of the Keystone XL Pipeline, a crucial piece to breaking our dependence on oil from countries that hate us.
• I joined numerous legal fights against public nuisance “Climate Change” lawsuits that would destroy our manufacturing industry.
