Prosecutors with Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Office obtained a 36 count grand jury indictment in Evangeline Parish on Wednesday, April 10, regarding voter fraud between May and November of 2022 during the general election.

Both arrests were a result of a joint undercover chat operation by Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Cyber Crime Unit, Homeland Security Investigations, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, Covington Police Department, East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, Mandeville Police Department, United States Secret Service, and the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Many homes, structures and businesses were damaged following the severe storms and tornadoes that moved across a large part of Louisiana on Tuesday morning, April 11. Attorney General Liz Murrill is alerting consumers about home repair scams and other disaster fraud schemes, to ensure they are receiving the necessary services needed to repair the damage.
